Outdoor Adventures Program 11/12
When: September to January
Location: Timberline Secondary School
The Outdoor Adventure 11/12 Program will take full advantage of the amazing natural world surrounding Campbell River to help each student reach their potential, academically, physically and globally. This is education through an inclusive program of Geography 12, Comparative Civilizations 12, Middle Earth 12 and Outdoor Education. It is a student focused one semester course designed for those who seek an Adventure in their high school experience.
Requirements: Successfully passed previous year grade

Stream to Sea 11
When: February to June, Half day
Location: Timberline Secondary School
This half day program allows students to work in the streams, forests and ocean of Campbell River while investigating all aspects of biology. This is an academically challenging class which involves field trips in all kinds of weather. Students will get their hands dirty while digging into science. Successful completion earns 8 credits: Biology 11 & one elective course
Requirements: Science 10; a fascination with biology; appropriate gear
Fees: Approx. $480 for field trips; fundraising opportunities will be available.

Forestry for Grades 10/11/12
When: Half day program, semester to be determined
Location: Carihi Secondary School
Students engage in project-based learning, acquiring knowledge of sciences, resource development, and professional forestry practices. Successful completion earns 8 credits: Sustainable Resources 11 or 12 & Forestry 11 or 12.
Requirements: Must be in good physical health; must have completed Grade 10; appropriate gear; application & interview required.
